2025 Spring Flag Football Schedule and General Information

How do I sign my child up to play?

• Complete registration by clicking "continue" at the bottom of this page.
• Pay fees online with a credit or debit card.
• Registration is open until the maximum number of spots per age group are filled.  Final date for any age group will be February 23rd.
• We have limited space per age group. Once the limit is reached you will automatically be placed on a waiting list.
   

What is the player registration fee?

• The fee to participate is $135.00.
• You will be provided an NFL Flag jersey/t-shirt, belt & flags. 
• Jersey and equipment will be issued after you are placed on a team.
• A minimum deposit of $50 is required at registration.
• Fees must be paid in full by February 23rd to be considered registered.

What additional equipment is needed?

• Shorts or athletic pants without pockets
• Strapless mouth guard
• Cleats

When does the season begin and end?

• Sign-ups end on February 23rd or when the maximum number of spots are filled, whichever comes first.
• Players will be placed on teams via a computerized draft.
• Players will be contacted by their coach beginning March 2nd and no later than March 5th.
• Practice may begin March 4th (more info under practices) 
• The first games will be played on March 16th.
• Round 1 Playoff Games will be played on May 4th.
• Round 2 Playoff Games will be played on week nights between May 6th and May 16th.   
• Championship will be played on May 18th.

What days and times are games played on?

• All regular season games are played on Sunday.
• The first games will begin at 12:00pm.
• The last games will begin at 6:00pm.
• Round 2 of playoff games will be held on week nights between May 6th and May 16th. 

Where will games be played?

•  Games will be played at Mundy Memorial Park on one of four fields.

Where and when will practices be held?

• Teams will be able to practice 4 times at Mundy Park prior to opening day from March 4th to March 14th. 
• Practice days are selected by coaches and will vary.  Days will not be determined prior to the start of the season.   
• Subsequent practices will be held 1 day per week for 1.5 hours on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. TBD after teams are set.

What are the age group break downs and divisions?

• 5 - 7 years old - Mighty Tykes Division 
• 8 - 10 years old - Semi Pro Division
• 11 - 13 years old - Pro Division 
• 14 - 17 years old - All Pro Division

Each Division will have even teams as set by a computerized draft.  We allow siblings in the same age division to play on the same team and the head coach is allowed to keep their own child.

Player age is determined as of March 1, 2025. 
Age examples:

+ If a player is 4 yrs. old today and will turn 5 on or before March 1st of the current year then they are eligible to play.
+ If player is 17 yrs. old today and turns 18 on or before March 1st of the current year then they are not eligible to play.

When will I find out who my child’s coach is?

Coaches will be given a team roster on or before March 2nd and they will begin contacting parents.  You should hear from your coach no later than March 5th.  If you have not heard from your coach by March 6th please email the league so we can assist you.

What size football is used for each age group?
Mighty Tykes - Pee Wee 
Semi Pro - Pee Wee or Junior
Pro - Junior
All Pro - Official (high school size)

How many players are on a team?

Each team must have a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 10 players. 

Refunds

Refunds are available upon written request to info@mjyfc.org. Regardless of reason, NO REFUNDS will be issued for flag football after February 24, 2025.

We need flag football coaches!!  Please visit our website www.mjyfc.org and select the coaches tab for information on coaching requirements.  A flag football coaches meeting will be held March 1st at 11:00am in the park office.
